Strategies

Two disciplines.
One standard.

Our strategies span liquid public markets and hands-on, value-add real estate. Each is run with the same standards of research, risk management, and transparency, and each is designed to compound capital through full market cycles.

Public markets

Equities

Our public equities strategy is fundamental and research-driven. We invest in a focused set of businesses we understand well, hold positions for the long term, and set a defined risk budget for every holding before it enters the portfolio.

We spend our time on the questions that matter over years rather than quarters: the durability of a company's economics, the quality of its capital allocation, and the price we pay relative to what the business is worth. When markets are fearful, that patience is what lets us act with conviction.

Fundamental research

Independent analysis of businesses, industries, and management, built from primary sources rather than consensus.

Concentrated conviction

A focused portfolio of our best ideas, sized according to how well we understand each one.

Defined risk budget

We decide what we are willing to lose on every position before we consider what we hope to earn.

Value-add real estate

Real Estate

Our real estate strategy targets value-add opportunities in Class C and Class D properties: buildings that are overlooked, under-managed, or in need of capital, in markets where demand for well-run space is durable.

We buy at a basis that leaves room for error, then do the work. Disciplined renovation, repositioning, and hands-on management turn neglected assets into stable, cash-flowing properties with lasting value.

Overlooked assets

Class C and D properties where careful underwriting and operational focus can create value others have passed over.

Hands-on execution

Renovation, leasing, and property management run to a plan, with budgets and timelines set before we close.

Durable cash flow

Improved properties that produce steady income and hold their value through full market cycles.
